I am Sophie Donaldson, Nurse Prescriber and founder of Harlowes clinic in Sandwich, Kent.
In 2004, I was offered a place at The London College of Fashion, to study Fashion Design BA (Hons), following an interview and presentation of my drawings. At the last minute, I decided not to go. Instead, I left behind my creative side and I pursued a career which brought me greater job satisfaction-and in 2008 I qualified as a nurse.
My first role as a nurse was within the community setting, where I managed patients with long term conditions. Before moving into the specialist role of Respiratory Nurse in 2013. In 2016, I completed my post-grad degree. In 2017, I moved into General Practice. In 2019, I finished my university course to become an independent prescriber and also completed various aesthetic courses.
I adore being creative and combining it with my years of medical experience. My favourite treatment is dermal fillers. Whether it is reshaping your lips, rejuvenating your face or balancing your profile, all my treatments are personalised specifically to you. I generate natural and normal results, which are in line with your own features.
I am passionate about effective, yet, safe treatments. For example, I incorporate the Clarius L20 Ultrasound Scanner into my dermal filler treatments to identify important vascular structures, tissue layers and placement of dermal filler. I keep updated with the latest research and training by attending multiple courses and conferences each year. This is to ensure I am providing the best possible treatments and techniques to my patients.
As the business has grown, new people and services have joined Harlowes. We have Lauren offering Semi-Permanent Makeup, Microblading, lashes and brows-again following the same ethos of natural and normal results. Evie offering every nail service and nail art you can think of. Tenzin offering waxing, threading, massage and facials.
