microneedling treatment

What IS Microneedling?

Microneedling is a highly effective, non-surgical treatment that uses microfine needles to cause dermabrasion. This activates a healing response that floods the skin with healing factors, improving the appearance of acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, orange peel skin and stretch marks amongst other skin imperfections.

Before your treatment, numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. Once numbing has fully set in, Sophie will provide you with a deep facial cleanse, followed by an enzymatic peel to gently resurface the skin and aid skin renewal before your microneedling session commences.

During your treatment, droplets of skin booster are deposited onto the skin to minimise friction, ease gliding and maximise microneedling results. The skin booster is personalised to you dependent upon which aspect we are trying to improve, for example, pigmentation reduction, fine lines or acne. These boosters can also be cocktailed to target specific areas for example fine lines around the eyes and acne in the t-zone.

Following the microneedling an intensive repair mask is applied.

There is no downtime with microneedling, making it a popular treatment for people on the go.

On average, a course of 3-6 treatments is advisable to see lasting results, with treatments carried out once each month.

Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment.

Prices

  • £99 to £145 - full face and neck microneedling

Microneedling is unsuitable if you are pregnant, have a skin infection, skin allergies, use of roaccutane within 12 months, active cold sores, recent laser treatment, numerous raised moles, skin cancer, pustule rosacea or psoriasis. However, if it is a small patch of psoriasis we can work around this. Microneedling should be carried out 4 weeks after injectables, such as dermal fillers to allow these to fully settle first.
